Andrew Bewick

Andrew has been dealing in antiques for over 35 years, and first showcased with Lorfords in 2003. Andrew deals in a mix of English, Scottish and continental furnishings, textiles and objects of all periods. He sees merit in all sorts of diverse fashions, tastes and styles!

Matthew Cox

Growing up in a family of antique dealers, Matthew was surrounded from the word go by all manner of wonderful things. Matthew’s style is bold and spare, with classical proportions and original surfaces. Something always sets what Matthew buys apart, whether it is rarity of form, material, colour or scale.

Andy Gibbs

Andy has been in the antiques trade for over 25 years, and specialises in country house furnishings and exceptional quality lighting. His soft furnishings are often stripped back to the original fabric, or sold in their raw state. His personal interests are in the Gothic Revival period of the 19th century, and he admires the workmanship and style of Holland & Son and Howards & Sons.

Dean Gipson

Dean has been an antique dealer for 30 years, previously with shops in London and Connecticut. Specialising in upholstery, mirrors, and lighting from 18th, 19th and 20th centuries; his highly individual collection ranges from architectural and garden pieces to period decorative objects, furniture and rugs. Stock is consistently fresh whether in original condition or fully restored. His upholstery range regularly includes Howard & Sons sofas and chairs.

Wilhelmine Gutbrod

Wilhelime has loved and collected antiques for over 30 years, and in the last 10 years turned this passion into a profession. She only buys items that she would love to keep herself, and sources all over Europe (especially Sweden and France). Her stock includes scenic wallpapers, furniture in original paint, mirrors, garden items and unusual quirky items.

Jack Harness

Jack has been dealing in antiques for over 20 years. He specialises in original Georgian pine furniture, antique oak furniture, French provincial antique furniture and original painted Gustavian furniture, though he also stocks an eclectic mix of other antique pieces. Every piece is hand picked by Jack on his regular buying trips around Europe.

Roderic has been a decorative antique dealer since 1963, dealing in 18th, 19th and 20th century furniture and objects with a difference. He buys period antique and decorative painted furniture, but mixes these with pieces from the 20th and 21st century, showcasing a broad range of furniture, decorative paintings, lighting, carpets and architectural objects.

Sevilla is an ex fashion model turned antique dealer, based in London. She specialises in painted furniture, mirrors, lighting and unusual items, mostly from France and Italy.

Jean and Doug Hill

Dealers for over 20 years, Jean and Doug specialise in 18th and 19th century period furniture from Italy, France and Sweden. They source pieces with original painted decoration, screens and ‘Toiles Peintes’ from the interiors of Palazzos and Chateaux and crystal chandeliers, as well as other exceptional decorative pieces.

Christopher has been dealing in antiques for over 30 years, specialising in 18th, 19th and 20th century decorative antiques. He showcases an eclectic mixture of furniture, lighting, porcelain, glass and accessories. All of the pieces are sourced from Europe to provide things of the past to enhance and enrich a modern lifestyle.

Claire Mills has been an antique dealer for over 35 years. Claire owned antique shops for 25 years – originally in Cumbria, then moving to Edinburgh and finally a period in Lillie Road, London. Claire has been involved in Lorfords for many years as both a dealer and member of the team.

Richard Nadin

Richard worked as a Fine Art Auctioneer before setting up as an antique dealer over 30 years ago. He loves buying great pieces of period furniture; English Country House, Art & Crafts, but also relishes buying exciting mid century pieces.

Andrew Nebbett

Andrew is a third generation antique dealer who’s traded from a shop in London since 2000 but began seriously dealing antiques in the early 1980s. Born in London and now living in Devon he is also a furniture designer and maker.

Laurence Oliver

Laurence has spent 20 years sourcing and dealing in all facets of antique lighting. In addition, Laurence has now designed and manufactured his own select line of distinctive bespoke lighting, from his workshops in Gloucestershire, exclusively for Lorfords. He takes great pleasure in being able to fulfill all the needs of lighting a period home, beautifully. And he's really lovely.

Annie and Peter

Annie and Peter have a combined experience of over 30 years of trading in France, England and America. They offer a varied and eclectic stock, mainly French, including upholstered furniture, leather clubs, tables, lighting, mirrors and decorative objects. They have been showcasing with Lorfords since 2005.

Richard Steenberg

Richard worked in the furniture department at Bonhams Auctioneers for four years before joining the legendary Westenholz on Pimlico Road. He has been dealing independently since 2005.

Peter has been trading in antiques for over 20 years - he specialises in English country house with an emphasis on grand scale, and is inspired by proportion, colour, texture and the eccentric.

Lee Wright

Lee has been dealing in antiques for over 25 years. He has a passion for sourcing fine quality pieces from all over Europe, and carefully oversees all aspects of restoration on his antiques, working with a team of specialist craftsmen.

Andrew Purchase

Hard to believe I started in this business when I was 19 years old, now 41 years later I am still doing what I like best. 'Decorative Antiques' have given me scope to deal in what has become my passion. I work alongside my wife Resho from our workshop in Kent - we spend our days sourcing and displaying our finds. We both believe interiors are only made better by adding a good mix of styles, periods and tastes.

Chris Cleere began in the antiques trade on London's Kings Road in the 1980's. Originally studying museums conservation, Chris has always mixed antique dealing with conserving works of art and archaeological artifacts for major museums and heritage organisations. Chris is based in Sussex in the UK and Santanyi on the Mediterranean island of Mallorca.

Appley has been buying and selling 18th and 19th century French Country antiques for many years. Appley is an enthusiastic francophile and is passionate about the antique business which combines the excitement of searching for these special pieces, displaying them and selling to appreciative customers. Having recently closed her London Shop Appley is now happily dealing from Hangar 2 at Lorfords Antiques which is allowing her more time to search Europe for those ever more rare items that she loves.
