Superb Italian 17th Century ebonised Pearwood mirror of octagonal form.
Its carved wood frame has no less than five separate designs of ripple moulding and amazingly retains its original beautifully foxed mercury plate.
The back of the mirror has a reassuringly and wonderfully dry and untouched surface showing ancient saw marks and original hand cut nail heads and fittings.
