17th Century Italian Carved Pine Cassone

A small, fairly primitive 17th Century pine cassone or chest.
Likely a marriage chest from the South Tyrol region of Italy.
Indistinctly dated and initialled. With a panelled lid and front, the deeply moulded panels have a chip carved geometric border and floral designs. There are remnants of polychrome paint to the mouldings.
Inside is a candle box and iron hinges. The lock and key work.
