18th Century French Toile de Rouen Indigo Resist Panel

French Toile de Rouen indigo resist block printed and quilted cotton panel, a section from a larger quilt, backed in a textured hemp. 

In overall good condition with some thinning and splitting of the cotton in small spotted areas. Please note in some places the wool padding is showing through. Some of the edges have been left raw or at a later date overlocked or finished with white tape.
