18th Century Graphic Cube Printed Cushion

Late 18th Century French cotton cushion. 

In a block printed simple and striking graphic design of terracotta, white and black cubes on a small brown and white check and densely quilted.

Original pieced-together sections with a barely noticeable seam partly down its middle. Backed in a 19th Century French Turkey red cotton and slip-stitched closed with a duck feather cushion pad.
