19th Century Indian Teak Side Cabinet

  • H: 151 cm (59 7/16")
  • W: 155 cm (62")
  • D: 37 cm (14 9/16")

Superb Indian teak side cabinet made by The Bombay Art Furniture Company.

The Bombay Art Furniture Company emulated the designs of E W Godwin and others who are re-known for producing good quality and well-proportioned furniture but also retaining the charm of colonial Anglo Indian construction and materials.

The designs were far superior to the majority of British commercial manufacturers of the period.

This is a fantastic piece of storage furniture, not only because of its large proportions, but also it's patina and natural graining. It is composed of fine quality teak and has been beautifully carved to depict foliate motifs.

Within today's home, this piece would look fantastic within a dining room for storing glasses etc or within a library...the possibilities are endless!
