An impressive antique/vintage African tribal hand-carved hardwood head of a man believed to date from the latter 19th or early 20th Century.
The head is supported on a narrow rounded neck with a skirted edge and flat base and is carved from a single piece of wood and is carved with wonderful facial features with good detail and carved combed back hair.
The wood has gained a wonderful age patina and does feature some wear commensurate with age.
