Beautiful mid 19th Century cast iron and marble-topped console table by James Yates of Rotherham.
In excellent condition and retaining its original marble top, the base has been painted many times. This table is now weathered to perfection and will work well in the house as well as in the garden.
James Yates (d.1881), was the founder of the firm of Yates, Haywood and Co. the iron founders, at Effingham Works, Rotherham, and is noted for his high quality domestic ironware.
