Intriguing English 19th Century music stand or reading stand with many adjustable positions.
Featuring a brass plaque with the Royal Crest which tells us that it was invented and made by J. Carter, 6A New Cavendish St., Portland St.,London W.
The mechanics are beautiful and allows adjustments to many positions allowing the reader/musician to find exactly the most comfortable position for their needs. Base is of decorative cast iron ending in clawed feet on brass castors - the stem is twisted and extends - the little wooden table is also fully adjustable the the music/book holder is also entirely adjustable .
Completely original and desirable!
