English Regency Mahogany Waterfall Bookcase With Inlaid Ebony Detailing.
An open bookcase with graduated shelves which also features a cupboard to the base. Standing on four toupie feet and original socket castors. The piece has a fully panelled back, a sign of great quality, and the veneers utilised throughout are exceptionally figured and have acquired an excellent colour.
The cupboard section has panelled front doors, the central panels being inlaid with geometric ebony stringing. The combination of mahogany and ebony is typical of the very latest fashions during the regency period.
This is a lovely piece of furniture that is very practical and has excellent colour and patination.
