18th Century traditional Biot pot.
The village of Biot (on the Côte d’Azur near Antibes) was famous for the quality of its pots which were mainly used for storing olives.
This jar is larger than the average Biot and comes with glazing to the internal rim with wonderful Patina only achieved with age and has no repairs.
Within today's home, these pots make for very decorative and collectible items.
