Early 19th Century French 'Bonnes Herbes' quilted cotton cushion.

'Bonne Herbes' is a dense design of small of madder red and bleu de pastel flowers against a dense green undergrowth.

Backed in an early 20th Century French checked cotton.

Slipstitched closed with a duck feather cushion pad.

In an 'as-found' antique condition, signs of wear commensurate with age. With a soft colouring and original stitched seam to the right hand side.

Circa 1810.
