French toile panel 'La Danse Savoyarde' manufacturer Leclerc & Fils of Pont-de-la-Maye with large scale motifs after the painter Greuze.

In a soft raspberry red with some "flooding' and lightly quilted onto a coarse linen backing and finished with a pretty scalloped hem. 

The white ground is a soft 'old white' with some faded staining here and there and at its hem.

Circa 1790-1810s.
