19th Century French marble topped table from a boulangerie in Boulogne sur Mer.


This six legged walnut table with contoured apron has a cream marble top. The top is a historic replacement - the baker's father apparently had a mishap with the original marble many moons ago! 


Two slivers of wood have been added to the base to accommodate the shape of the replacement marble. One central leg has historically been re-tipped with a similar but not identical foot and there is one chip on one edge of the marble, all reflecting a table has had a good working life.
