19th Century French pine Semainier or tall chest of seven drawers. 

The Semainier is a high chest of drawers that was supposedly designed to hold a week's clothing-one drawer for each day. 

Perfect for bedroom use, the tall but narrow proportions allow this piece to fit in otherwise under-utilised areas in the home and the patinated pine surface of the current example give it an interesting pared back look. 

Standing on shaped feet, this sturdy and attractive piece of furniture provides a lot of storage space in return for a small footprint in the room and so is extremely practical in the modern interior.
