19th Century French Red 'B' Monogram Customised Linen Cushion

19th Century French linen cushion customised with a turn of the 20th Century red 'B' monogram. 

The monograms 'Plumetis-Express' were sold in haberdashery shops in boxes in various sizes to be hand stitched onto the household linens.

Backed in a 19th century French indigo checked linen and slipstitched closed with a duck feather cushion pad.

Circa 1890.
