19th Century French Walnut Occasional Table
19th Century French Walnut Guéridon or Occasional Table with Later Alabaster Top of Exceptional Quality.
The table has a tripartite platform form base, linking three square-sectioned legs that join the frieze with outset blocks. The table has a later inlaid alabaster top of exceptional decorative interest and quality. The top is made up of countless alabaster specimens laid in such a way as to create a series of decreasing concentric circles. The alabaster has been very well chosen and matched and the top has the most striking look.
This is a very interesting and attractive table.
