19th Century folk art Spanish settle, circa 1880.
This fantastic settle/ bench is an excellent example of Spanish folk art furniture, with its very solid construction.
It is both durable and decorative, with a very ornately carved cresting rail. The aged wood, likely to be fruitwood or chestnut, has a lovely rich patina.
This settle is a wonderful piece of furniture history and would make a very characterful addition to any interior.
