Elegant Louis XVI Revival mahogany side table with Brocatelle Pyrenean marble top and pierced brass gallery.

In the manner of Adam Weisweiler, this beautiful table is embellished with basket weave brass to the surround and decorative cross stretcher. Each corner bears a brass rosette and brass rings adorn the elegantly fine feet.

This lovely end table has one drawer. Adam Weisweiler (c.1750-1820) was a pre-eminent French master cabinetmaker (ébéniste) in the Louis XVI period, working in Paris. Cabinetmaker to Queen Marie-Antoinette of France, his works were commissioned by many European royal courts.
