19th Century Italian console table.
Original worn painted and gilded finish. A rectangular top supported by scrolling legs on shaped base.
This console table features boldly carved gilded decoration, including acanthus leaf and other foliate themes.
A very opulent piece which captures the grandeur of Italian design in the first half of the 19th Century.
Marble has been replaced. Circa 1840.
