A highly and unusual and unique French 19th Century four-fold screen telling the story of Pierrot's unrequited love for Columbine who as usual breaks his heart and runs off with Harlequin while Pierrot looks down helplessly from a cloud.
The final panel shows Columbine and Harlequin having disappeared over the hill with a celebratory hat thrown into the air! An amazing and totally original work of art.
