19th Century Rocking Horse by F H Ayers of London
Fine example of 19th Century English craftsmanship on this extra carved F H Ayers rocking horse.
With good quality carving and as is often the case with these horses he has been overpainted and the tack replaced.
The stand has had two cross pieces replaced.
F.H. Ayres is one of the most revered British rocking horse makers, known for their well made and beautiful models that have been loved by generations of children.
The company started life as a cabinet makers, established by Edward Ayres in London in 1810.
