20th century Gordon Russell 'Helix' mahogany sideboard, designed by David Booth.
Circa 1951.
Of rectangular form, enclosed by a pair of inset rosewood faced doors with incised interlacing vertical lines. Brass ring handles, on tapering legs.
Copper finish label inscribed 'Russell of Broadway' with circular saw and plane, 122cm wide.
This iconic design was made for the Festival of Britain fair in 1951.
