Signed Roger Allain (1920-1992). Roger Allain was born in Annemasse on November 27, 1920, and died in Houston, Texas in 1992. Parisian painter, graduated from the Arts et Métiers, Industrial Arts and Fine Arts schools in Geneva in 1939, member of the Salons des Indépendants and Free Art in Paris. He exhibited in many Parisian galleries after the war; then emigrated to the United States in the 1960s; Based in New York, he specialized in the restoration of furniture and paintings, while continuing to paint gigantic frescoes, portraits of families and children, and trompe-l'oeil and still lifes.
