Set of 20th Century Weighing Scales

Set of 20th Century cast iron weighing scales, by W & T Avery of Birmingham. Circa 1910.

These good quality scales feature steel manual stone and pound sliding markers on a rocking horizontal bar. Supported on a cylindrical column with a moulded foot plate to the base. 

Featuring the maker's marks cast into the design itself as well as a central coat of arms. With old gently distressed white paint. 

This fascinating piece would look just as at home in a contemporary setting as it would in a country house.
