English 19th Century Victorian gentleman's compactum wardrobe by Howard & Sons.
This fine quality piece features stylish faux bamboo borders to the cupboard doors. The left-hand central door opens to reveal a linen press interior with three galleried sliding drawers and an arrangement of two short and two long drawers below.
The drawers retain their original cast brass handles and the interior its Howard & Sons label. The right hand door opens to reveal cast brass hanging hooks and a hanging rail.
This fantastic piece retains its original knobs, locks and sparkly mercury mirror plate to the centre.
The piece dismantles for easy transport and access. It comes directly from the stunning Wormington Grange English country house in the Cotswolds.
Howard & Sons were leading cabinet-makers and upholsterers during the 19th and 20th Centuries. Their name is synonymous with fine quality furniture and furnishings and they rivalled the likes of Gillows.
