This clock came straight from a home in Färlia, Hälsingland, and represents a typical model for that area of Sweden.
The circular clock face features Roman numerals and ornate clock hands, with the maker's signature and 'Mora' inscribed on the dial.
The face is topped with an asymmetric cresting carving of scrolling and foliate motifs.
The whole of the first two sections of this longcase clock are decoratively carved with attractive floral motifs.
The curvaceous middle features an carved open section. The bottom terminates with a scalloped apron and bracket feet.
Pretty shades of original paint throughout give this clock a soft, feminine feel.
Retaining its original weights, key, and pendulum.
