This unusual daybed is constructed of geometrically carved panels and oversized legs, that are held together by strips of animal hide, bound, and woven to form the bed base or seat.
Traditionally it probably would have been situated on a large covered veranda taking advantage of the cooling breeze from the Indian Ocean.
