French 18th Century Painted Armoire
Stunning French armoire dating to the late 18th Century.
This armoire comes from the Alsace region of France. It has been dry-scraped back to its original painted finish in a most attractive distressed white.
It features a very decorative dentil-moulded cornice above two panelled doors. With architectural canted corners at the top and reeded sides flanking the doors.
The interior offers a full-width hat shelf as well as a full-width wooden pole beneath. Retaining its original lock and key.
This armoire is of knock-down construction for ease of transportation and assembly.
A very classic and beautiful piece of storage furniture that will look equally brilliant in a period or contemporary interior.
