19th Century French Bakers Rack
Lovely set of 19th Century French bakers rack made from steel with brass decoration.
This display piece would have originally come from a bakery in France. It would have been used to display the day's bread, croissants, brioche, etc within a local bakery.
It is decorated with scrolls to the central dividers that are beautifully cast and are a great focal point for the piece.
Within today's home, these shelves will make for a useful and attractive element in a kitchen. It could also be used to display flowers in a florist's shop or would be even more perfect in a shop or 'delicatessen' selling high-end food.
Provenance: Originally owned by the actor Michael Caine.
