19th Century French Walnut Armchair

French 19th Century walnut armchair. 

This armchair is in the early 18th Century style. It features a square back with an inverted arched top.

Scrolling armrests are carved with acanthus leaf details and rest on outswept terminals with elegant baluster supports and turned capitals. 

Supported on finely turned legs with an elaborate pierced double scroll front stretcher. Graceful horizontal turned column stretchers to the sides. Terminating on bun feet. 

This armchair has been recovered in vintage French linen. 

Seat height: 43cm. Seat depth: 54cm.
