Wonderful early 19th Century Dutch blonde oak linen press.
This linen press is of great scale and beautiful proportions.
The pronounced and heavily carved bonnet top includes an elaborate scroll and foliate crest.
Below are two panelled doors which enclose several shelves and an arrangement of small drawers. The bottom section offers three long graduating drawers of bombe form, with hip contours to each side.
Finished with a boldly carved scalloped apron and prominent ball-and-claw feet.
This is a beautiful country house storage piece. Its mellow colour makes it perfect for period or contemporary settings alike.
