Regency Pollard Oak Two Drawer Side Table
SKU
TC8227315
Regency Pollard oak two-drawer side table on swept sabre legs ending with brass Campinas and castors.
The oak has been 'pollarded', whereby the tree is pruned to encourage dense branches and foliage, which in turn forms a burr.
When cut for veneer, this creates a swirling figure in the grain which is particularly visible in this piece.
Circa 1820.
