Early 19th Century Window Seat

Stylish early 19th Century X-frame window seat of elaborate shapely form and retaining the original blue and gilt decoration.

The handrails with rounded terminals and collars and carved rosettes swept down to a dished seat in horsehair and hessian upholstery. Above the carved foliate panel, raised on swept legs with gilded paw feet with repeating gilded collars.
