Convex Sunburst Mirror by Chaty Vallauris
Metal sunburst convex mirror, by Chaty Vallauris.
Chaty Vallauris was a French design and manufacturing company based in Provence, France during the 1950s and 60s.
They produced decorative metal-framed mirrors, with the sunburst style their iconic legacy. The rope detail that borders the convex mirror plate is a signature design feature of their pieces, as are the elegant 'rays' that extend outwards at all angles.
The rays closest to the front are thicker and taller, giving the overall look a three-dimensional feel.
This is a wonderful piece of Mid Century design that would make a great feature on any wall. There is a second mirror available, of the same size and dimensions, if a pair is required.
