The Monty Sofa
A sofa of bountiful proportions, the Monty has real country house appeal. This sofa of lavish dimensions is christened after the indomitable Uncle Monty of Withnail and I fame. The inspiration for the Monty came from a sofa found upside down in a barn in rural Herefordshire. Forgotten by all but a few mice, we rescued this faded aristocrat and brought it to our studios.
We were so struck by its restored glory that we had to add it to our collection. The fully upholstered seat and back are both deep-buttoned. This sofa is part of the Lorfords Contemporary collection.
