This Ersari carpet has lustrous wool and a fine weave giving rise to the clarity of its drawing.
The attractive vegetable-dyed red field has a natural colour variation (abrash) adding great depth and richness to the spacious drawing, framed by several creative borders and still retaining all its four borders and its original kilim fringes are intact at both ends, rare features for a rug dating c.1900.
