An early 18th Century English walnut chest on chest with brushing slide and excellent choice of quality walnut veneer.
It has delicate narrow moulded detail to the corners of the upper section and the upper chest, consists of three short drawers and three graduated drawers below. In the middle there is a brushing slide with small ring pull handles. The bottom chest below has three graduated long drawers, brass escutcheons and handles throughout. It stands on its original bracket feet.
Overall this piece has wonderful small proportions and a beautiful rich colour.
