Early 18th Century English Walnut Lowboy
Early 18th Century English Walnut Lowboy of Excellent Untouched Colour and Patina.
This fine lowboy is a great example of English furniture from the early part of the 18th century. With its tall and relatively straight cabriole legs and fine brass plate handles, and interesting fretted shaping to the frieze. The overhanging top has re-entrant corners, a sign of quality, and superb quartered veneered bordered with feather banding with a wide cross banded edge.
It has wonderful untouched colour and surface patination that has been built up through years of use and polishing.
A really excellent piece of furniture.
