Early 20th Century red painted wicker armchair by Dryad of Leicester.
With pierced decoration, turned spindle supports and upholstered drop in cushion.
From 1913-19 Dryad supplied elegant, tall-backed chairs with cane seats and backs to Roger Fry’s designs for the Omega Workshops. These chairs were generally painted red by Omega. The cane is worn in places and there is some restoration.
