An early George III giltwood settee in the manner of Robert Adam.
The shaped padded back, out scrolled arms upholstered in a green velvet or possibly mohair velvet fabric with piping.
The giltwood cresting with bold asymmetrical foliate carving, the trellised and foliate-carved seat rail on foliate-scrolled slight cabriole legs.
Some with later supports underneath. Partially reconstructed to original design in 19th Century, some carried out in later part of 20th Century.
The gilding has had repairs and the back legs repaired.
Circa 1765.
