The canterbury first emerged in the late Georgian period. Its decorative divided compartments were originally designed to hold sheet music. Today, these neat storage pieces are perfect for storing magazines or other documents.

This quintessential country house piece has been wonderfully carved to represent a bobbin-turned style. 

It rests on four turned legs which terminate on original brass castors. 

Beautiful rich patina throughout.
