English Country House grand scale mahogany pedestal cabinet.
This wonderful cabinet is very much neoclassical in design, with a sturdy plinth base and reeded effect to the column base.
Magnificent turning to the sides, with deeply carved scrolls either side of a central motif at the front.
This cabinet offers plenty of storage; the top opens up on hinges and the column itself opens via a concealed catch to reveal three drawers as well as an open shelf.
Beautifully figured and well patinated fiddleback mahogany. In honest, unrestored but sound condition. Minor chipping to the veneers.
This cabinet would make a wonderful stand for a lamp or vase.
