Beautiful early French 19th Century fichu quilt.
With a 'bonnes herbes' pattern of large red flowers against dense foliage of green leaves. Highlighted with bleu de pastel and red flowers. The centre fichu of small flowers on a madder red ground.

In an overall good as found and antique condition with some scattered splits in places on the centre red textile.
The center fichu is 87cm x 89cm.
