French 19th Century 'L'art d'Aimer' Toile de Beautiran Bed Curtains

Pair of circa 1820-30 French printed cotton curtains in 'L'Art d'aimer' or 'L'Agréable Leçon' a Toile de Beautiran, originally used as bed hangings on a ciel de lit canopy as the curtain on each inside edge folds back in against itself.

Finished with a red and white twist fringing and printed in a soft madder red. 

In an as-found but laundered antique condition with fading in places on some of the panels, with a few small holes and tears in scattered places.
