Early 19th Century French Empire block printed light cotton panel, a variation of the classic medallion design.


Spinning saffron yellow and madder red against a green ground with saffron yellow leaves and tendrils. In an antique and as-found condition. 


This piece has been a layer of a quilt so there are faint pinprick marks in places throughout with some damage to the selvedges.
