Superb 19th Century French cast iron pâtisserie table.

This incredibly fine table is a wonderful example of its type. The ornate and extremely elegant iron base is compromised of pronounced C-scroll forms. 

Adorned with decorative roundels and nickel-plated caps and fittings. 

Topped with its original dished Carrara marble top, which rests on an incredibly intricate and decorative frieze. 

Pâtisserie tables were visible in the shop window and used to present the goods on offer, so their beautiful appearance was a priority. 

This would make a gorgeous statement console table in today's interior.
