Georgian Window Seat

Late 18th Century George III window seat. 

This fine quality seat features elegant outscrolled armrests and rests on column turned and tapering legs. 

The frame is in good solid condition, whilst the surface is in a distressed condition with attractive remains of gesso and bole predominant. 

Carved rosettes adorn the square sections above the legs and the legs themselves are adorned with acanthus clasps. A dentil moulded frieze sits below the seat. 

This charming seat will be an immensely decorative touch in any interior.
