A Victorian carved oak Gothic Revival library bookcase, possibly after a design by Sir George Gilbert Scott, of canted form, the upper section fitted with four plain glazed doors above a base with four frieze drawers and blind cupboards below, the bookcase carved throughout with trefoils, linen fold, cusped pinnacles and other Gothic architectural motifs, raised on simple stile supports. Provenance: The Admiral's House, Scott's home in Hampstead.
