Half-Moon Copper Vat

English 20th Century half-moon copper vat in the Industrial style. 

Of great proportions and form, this vat features wonderful natural verdigris patination. 

It is in great condition for its age, with very few signs of wear that are commensurate with age and years of use. It is stamped “A Hillier, Ridgeway, Nr Frome”, and is believed to have been used within the cheese-making process during the late to mid 20th Century or being used as a cistern. 

A wonderful piece that will make for a great planter within a garden or orangery.
